The ReCommunity Project aims to be a catalyst for reengagement and regeneration. We aim to restore a sense of community togetherness and individual wellbeing through creative activities and community events that reach across all ages and stages, all interests and abilities.

Sharing Stories - In Your Own Words

Welcome to “Sharing Stories – In Your Own Words” an all new Mid North Coast Community College initiative as part of the ReCommunity Project. This project and series of recordings is funded by the NSW Government. The aim of this project is to record the oral history, poetry and remarkable stories of local residents of the Mid North Coast Region. Cultural activities such as oral history, poetry reading and storytelling is a great way for people to stay connected to community, share important ideas and to re-engage with the community after years of the pandemic and natural disasters. We are looking forward to you joining us over the next few months, we hope you enjoy engaging with the histories and stories of our local community. I’m Dennis Owen, the regular host of this series, but you’ll also hear from other guest hosts too! I encourage you to get in contact if you or someone you know has a story that needs to be told! Let’s get started with todays episode!
