About the Event

The Team at Mid North Coast Community College is committed to the concept of a MakerSpace as an opportunity to bring the community together. This is in accordance with the MNCCC mission statement and we will strive to build a vibrant community of belonging which is inclusive and provides programs that will enhance and enrich the lives of all.

Following a global ‘Maker Movement’, MakerSpace takes the student out of the classroom, transforming them from passive consumers of information to active and resilient learners, creators and innovators.

Working together with NGO’s Government agencies, business, schools and community groups our programs will provide opportunities for engagement for everyone. Learners, Teachers, Artists, Craftsmen and women, Business Mentors and Life Coaches, drawing community in to surround vulnerable community members with the supports they require to build capacity and re-engage with life and learning and to ‘re-imagine’ their futures.

We need the help of our community to develop a membership model, establish user groups and a 'Brains Trust' of Creatives; Artists, Tradies, Craftsmen and women comitted to the establishment of a vibrant 'community of belonging' in the Albert Circuit precinct.
